Nat Ricciardi, president of Pfizer Global Manufacturing (New York, NY), has appointed
Pete Stevenson as vice-president. He will be responsible for contract manufacturing, procurement, and Pfizer CentreSource.

Novasite Pharmaceuticals Inc. (San Diego, CA) has appointed Tim Harris to the position of president and CEO. Harris was most recently CEO of Structural GenomiX, a cancer therapeutics development company.

The American Institute of Chemists (AIC, Philadelphia, PA) presented its 2005 AIC Gold Medal to Robert L. McNeil, Jr., the innovator, manager, and entrepreneur responsible for the launch of Tylenol, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year as a safe and widely used drug. The award ceremony was part of Heritage Day 2005 at the Chemical Heritage Foundation on June 9.

Paradigm Therapeutics Limited (Cambridge Science Park, UK) has appointed Alastair Riddell as chief executive officer. Riddell was formerly the CEO of Pharmagene for seven years.

NETZSCH (Exton, PA) has appointed Randall M. Smith vice-president of NETZSCH Fine Particle Technology, LLC. Smith has 15 years of sales and service experience with NETZSCH and will be responsible for overseeing the sales, marketing, engineering, and manufacturing operations for the company.

Cornerstone BioPharma, Inc. (Cary, NC) has hired Brian Dickson as chief medical officer. Dickson joins Cornerstone with a 20-year background in development at major pharmaceutical and biotech companies.

Edge Dynamics (Redwood City, CA) has appointed Greg Cathcart as vice-president and general manager of its life sciences business. Most recently, Cathcart was director of life sciences at SAP. (continued to Calendar)
